Lisa has also completed AIDT and ADAPT jazz and acro exams throughout her dance education and has been teaching for over 12 years. Acrobatics and contortion are two of her specialties. She has taken teaching courses and received certifications through Acrobatique, ADAPT and IDTS.

She is an advocate for creating a safe space and positive learning experience. Encouraging creativity through an open-minded atmosphere is very important to her. She has safety training and promotes injury prevention in her classes.

Lisa is also passionate about yoga and strength training and constantly working on furthering her own education and knowledge to bring forward into her classes.

She enjoys working with a variety of ages, levels, and abilities. She creates a fun, safe and positive environment for her students to learn and grow in. She joined the Silver-Hope Dance Academy team in our 2021-2022 season. We are thrilled to have Miss Lisa join our dance family!

Miss Talia

Talia’s love of dance began a very young age. She has studied many forms of dance starting with Ballet, Tap, and Tumbling when she was 3 years old. She added Jazz when she was 5, Hip Hop and Musical Theatre at 7, Contemporary and Acro at 8, and Lyrical and Pre-pointe at age 10. She is a well-rounded dancer who is dedicated to her craft and continued development.

Talia danced competitively as a soloist and in groups for many years, delivering impressive performances, including Top 10 performances and many Judge’s Choice Awards over the years. A highlight was winning a scholarship to Groove Street Dance Convention, where she learned from highly acclaimed teachers and took a Master Class from Vincent Paterson, a world-renowned multi-disciplinary Director and Choreographer who Choreographed Michael Jackson’s Smooth Criminal and much more. In 2019, Talia auditioned for and performed in FREEDOM, a live Legacy Productions theatrical dance performance with a significant rehearsal schedule and a run of 8 shows over 2 weekends.

Talia obtained her IDTS Assistant Teacher Certification in 2019, her Acrobatic Arts Module 1 (Levels Primary – 6) Certification in 2024, and is working toward her IDTS Level 1 Teacher Certification.

We’re proud of Talia’s accomplishments and to have a home-grown dancer begin their teaching career with us. Her passion, hard work, and the many talented teachers she worked with over the years have contributed to her success as a dancer and a teacher.

Talia’s teaching journey began in 2020 at our studio and continued in the Shuswap from 2021-2024.  She enjoys supporting her dancers to develop a love of dance, self-confidence, and skills to grow as dancers and people. She loves creating her own choreography and helping her dancers bring it to life. We’re thrilled to have Miss Talia back on our team for the 2024-2025 season!

Miss Kyra

Kyra has had a passion for dance from a very young age. Starting in her basement as a studio with a radio, she would dance all day, making up her own moves and tricks. Although she didn’t start with a studio until she was 9, she always found a way to dance.  Kyra was able to convince her parents to enroll her in her first year of dance, starting with Jazz. She then continued with Lyrical, Contemporary, and Hip-Hop. Her first 3 years were recreational, but she needed to strive for something bigger, so competition was next for her. She competed locally and loved every minute of it. After the 4-year mark, Kyra stuck with hip-hop until she graduated in June 2024.

If she wasn’t dancing in the studio, she was at her high school. It offered a dance program, which she joined from the beginning of high school all the way to the end. She made it to dance captain after her second year, leading warm-ups, making choreography, organizing year-end shows, and MCing both year-end shows. She put her whole heart into this program, which fueled her passion for teaching and helping others.

Kyra is working toward her IDTS Developing Teacher Certification and, as a newly graduated dance student, is eager to teach others. She is extremely passionate about the art of dance and is excited to share her passion with new or experienced dancers and help them find their light in dance. We are happy to have Miss Kyra on our team and to support her to grow as a teacher and person.

Miss Krissy

Krissy has been dancing since she was 2, starting with ballet as her primary focus, and very quickly found her passion in the sport. After a few years, she started to explore different styles of dance including Lyrical, Contemporary, Jazz, Hip Hop, Acro and more. With each style of dance she was introduced to, her passion for dance grew.

Krissy was a competitive dancer who danced both locally and internationally. She was very fortunate and honoured to represent her country in the World Dance Championships in Poland in 2013 and 2014. She competed in Ballet, Jazz and Modern, taking home a Silver Medal in 2013 and a Gold Medal in 2014. She travelled to Hollywood for a summer intensive dance program in 2014 and worked in her first music video. In 2015, she travelled to New York for the Pulse Dance Competition and workshop and had the opportunity to participate in National Dance Day in Lincoln Square.

Krissy started assisting in dance classes at the age of 12 and continued to do so throughout her high school years. After graduation, she began teaching her own classes and instantly fell in love with this new chapter of dance. She worked as a substitute teacher for Dance in Motion, Project Dance, Kick it up a Notch and more. She also taught for the Cloverdale Skate club doing an off-ice stretch and strength class and at Sandy Hill Elementary School teaching Ballet and Hip Hop. She then began teaching Hip Hop, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Ballet and more at her home studio, Dance in Motion and taught.

Miss Krissy teaches from ages 2+ and started teaching with Silver-Hope Dance Academy in the 2020-2021 dance season. Due to the demands of her young family, we currently engage her as a sub and we’re grateful for her assistance.

Miss Siena

Siena took her first ballet class at 7 years old and within a year she knew that dance would always be a part of her life. By 10 years old she knew she wanted to grow up to teach dance, with aspirations of becoming an RAD certified ballet teacher. Siena has trained in a variety of styles including ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap, lyrical, pointe, musical theatre, hip-hop and acro, and competed in local dance competitions in many of these styles.

She is certified in Acrobatic Arts Module 1 (Levels Primary – 6) and is currently in college pursuing a diploma in Early Childhood Education. At the age of 17, Siena put her dance dreams on hold to learn to manage her newly-diagnosed medical conditions. Years of hard work and determination brought her back to dance and she is excited to share her passion and love for dance with her students.

Miss Siena strives to make her classes an inclusive space, where all dancers feel safe to learn and thrive. We’re happy to have her as part of the Silver-Hope Dance Academy team.

Miss Bella

Bella has had a passion for dance since the age of 5, competing in Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary, Ballet, and Acro, both locally and internationally.

She trained for the 2016 HHI International Hip Hop semi-finals, held in Montreal, with coaches Paul Otterbein and Darylle Johnson. Later that year, Bella trained with many outstanding choreographers, including Roberta Bierman and Michael Delleva, as well as head coach Paul Otterbein, for the Hip Hop World Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark. Bella was very honoured to represent her country as a member of Team Canada Senior Hip Hop crew and support the junior and children’s teams that also traveled to Denmark.

Always dedicated to continuing her dance education, Bella successfully completed certifications in Acrobatic Arts Level 1, Acrobatic Arts Back Handsprings, Acrobatic Arts Level 2, and IDTS Level 1 by the end of summer 2018.

In addition to teaching, Bella is currently training at A3 District with founders Roberta Bierman and Jane Marlinga, as well as Erik Perena and Carlo Alienza. Her A3 District team, J Ryderz, achieved great success over the years, including competing on Canada’s Got Talent in 2023.

Due to the demands of post-secondary studies, Miss Bella works primarily as a sub and for special events. We’re fortunate to have her on our faculty; her skills, passion, heart, and dedication are an asset to our studio!
